Initial situation
The accounting function was highly operational, with hardly any controlling structures in place. Financial reporting occurred sporadically and manually, leaving the company without a reliable basis for decision-making.
Our approach:
Together with the management team, we analyzed the existing financial processes and tools. The goal was to quickly establish a scalable accounting and controlling structure. This included:
- Reviewing and selecting suitable financial tools aligned with company size and reporting requirements
- Introducing clear processes for monthly closings, forecasts, and budgeting
- Setting up a BI dashboard to visualize key metrics in real time and provide transparency for stakeholders
- Supporting the rollout, including internal team training and ongoing sparring
Outcome
Within just a few months, a decentralized and reactive finance function was transformed into a robust reporting and controlling landscape—with clearly defined processes, data clarity, and improved decision-making capabilities.
